Q: What emerging trends are having the biggest impact on the industry right now? 

Skyler Chadwick: Customers now expect an interactive service experience, including connecting with their dealer throughout their service journey. To fulfill this customer expectation, it’s essential for dealers to keep them informed with instant updates from the service advisor at each step of the process. In addition, sharing inspection photos and videos greatly increases the likelihood of getting additional service recommendations approved. 

Q: What are you most excited to talk with dealers about at the show this year?  

A: I’m looking forward to helping dealers better understand the data from the service lane and how to use it to enhance the customer experience.  Our new Fixed Ops KPI Insights dashboard brings key metrics from every part of the service department (appointment scheduling, shop capacity, ASR utilization, etc.) into one single view. This makes it easier for dealers to access insights quickly to improve the efficiency and quality of their services, resulting in an exceptional customer experience. 

Q: What is your biggest piece of advice to dealers for starting 2024 off strong? 

A: I’d encourage dealers to ask themselves if they have the right technology and the right partner to achieve their fixed ops goals.  Our industry is in a period of constant and rapid change.
